Powerful hydraulic sheet pile pressing machines for vibration-free driving and extraction of sheet piles.
Foundiz supplies sheet pile pressing machines for vibration-free driving and extraction of sheet piles. These machines are used in foundation projects where vibrations are not permitted or where controlled operations are essential.
When choosing the right machine, more than just power is a factor. Foundiz helps you select the right machine and configuration, tailored to the sheet pile wall, soil conditions, and project environment.
Foundiz supplies a variety of sheet pile pressing machines, including the Push-Pull machines from Dawson Construction Plant. These machines are suitable for vibration-free driving of steel sheet piles, as well as for pulling and retrieving existing sheet piles.
Sheet pile pressing machines are used in projects where minimal disruption is required, such as inner-city construction sites, infrastructure projects, and sites with sensitive buildings.
In addition to standard sheet pile profiles, these machines can also be used for special applications, such as tubular piles and hollow piles. Push-pull machines can also be used to drive and extract so-called key piles. Key piles are sheet pile profiles that are rolled into a special shape, making them much stronger than conventional sheet piles.

For projects where vibration is not permitted, hydraulic sheet pile pressing machines offer an effective solution. Instead of vibrating the sheet piles, controlled hydraulic forces are used to drive the sheet piles into the ground.
This allows sheet piles to be installed with minimal impact on the surrounding area, which is essential when working in urban areas or near existing structures.
The Push-Pull sheet pile pressing machines are available in various models, with 2, 3, or 4 cylinders. The cylinder units have a modular design, allowing the machines to be customized to the desired configuration depending on the application and the required force.
The machines can be used in a broker-guided configuration in combination with a foundation rig, or they can be used in a free-suspension configuration in combination with a crawler crane.
The Push-Pull sheet pile pressing machines are among the most powerful solutions in this segment.
The Push-Pull system uses hydraulic clamps that grip the top of interlocking steel sheet piles. Using the pull-down force of the foundation rig, the clamped sheet piles are driven into the ground with maximum force until the machine’s maximum capacity is reached.
While this force is maintained, the hydraulic push-pull cylinders exert an additional vertical force on a single steam plank, with the surrounding steam planks in the group providing the necessary reaction force. Once the steam planks have been moved through the full stroke of the cylinders, the push-pull machine retracts, after which the cycle repeats.
This process makes it possible to install sheet piles into the ground with high force and in a controlled manner.
The push-pull machines ensure the precise and controlled installation of sheet piles.
The hydraulic clamps are designed with a powerful wedge-grip mechanism, and, in combination with an adjustable guide system, they prevent the piston rods from rotating.
The controlled force build-up and repetitive cycle ensure a consistent and predictable installation process.
