PTC 40 HFV Vibration Block

The vibro hammers available for rent from Foundiz are specially designed for use in combination with a crane or foundation machine. These vibro hammers can be used to drive piles and sheet piles into the ground or to extract them by pulling. The foundation elements can be lifted using a chain, grommet, or special lifting tools and then secured with the powerful hydraulic clamping jaws. Once securely clamped, the foundation element can be driven into the ground using high-frequency vibrations. When used in a free-hanging configuration from a crane, the vibro hammer exerts downward pressure through its own weight; this additional downward force allows the foundation element to be driven into the ground even faster. If the vibro hammer is used in a foundation rig with a guide rail, a so-called pull-down force can also be applied to exert additional downward pressure, causing the foundation element to sink faster or allowing it to pass through solid soil layers more easily. Hydraulic vibratory hammers can also be used to implement numerous other foundation techniques, such as deep compaction, vibrating auxiliary casings for drilling operations, and installing vertical screens in the ground.
